These are pricey, but they kill the mouse almost instantly. The electronic mousetrap is more humane than a snap trap because it kills the mouse right away. There are a couple variations of this mousetrap. One baits the mice into a little container that shuts close when the mice eats the bait. Another one is a bucket trap. This works well when the mouse walks over to the food, which is placed on top of the bucket. The weight of the mouse triggers a trap and the mouse falls in.
